Bora Bora

Tahiti: Bora Bora Baptised ‘The Pearl of the Pacific’ by Captain Cook and known as the romantic island, it is not surprising that Bora Bora is a honeymoon favourite. This island is a fairy tale creation of volcanic peaks whose luxuriant coverage contrast sharply with shades of turquoise and jade of the lagoon that encircles the island. Bora Bora’s most popular activity is scuba diving and the Island’s shallow, warm lagoon waters make it ideal for snorkelling; a must is to hire a boat and spend an idyllic day stranded on a sandy motu (islet).

Bora Bora can be reached by air or boat from Tahiti. Flying time from Tahiti is 45 minutes and there are 6 flights daily.
